Carrying it Each day.

I love to write about Mumbai locals, there are enough things to learn through each and every journey you travel. You come across many faces each day. Some are the same who are used to this life, and some are new, confused, pissed and always wondering why did they land here. Whatever it's, the population index always shows, increase in new comers each year.

Ask every Mumbaikar, who ply through local trains here and there each day, about the troubles he faces, he would tell you many. One of the major issue will be of carrying his 'Backpacks!'
Every morning you get ready and start to your office with your backpack on your back, like an innocent child, goes to school. You take the bridge, subway or walk through the track the most dangerous things of all and reach the platform to board your train, which will take you to your destination. And at that moment you listen to the announcement of arrival of your local. This announcement takes you to a different level. It converts you from an innocent school boy image to a hardworking Mumbaikar. And at this moment you are standing on the platform, wearing your backpacks on your front.

This is just a method been followed by the citizens from last two decades and all the copyrights are reserved only and only to the Mumbaikars. We have changed the way it should be worn. We have been following this practice only to save the bag from tearing off from the crowd. So we don't give it a shit however we may look wearing it so funnily.

The ultimate goal is achieved when we board the train with our bags are safe with us. There are many incidents observed when someone boards in the train only with the two straps, loosing the bag to the crowd. Pity to him. But as per reports seventy five percent of people only carry only their lunch box in their backpacks, Wonder why Wildkraft and American Tourister manufacture these bags only for lunch boxes.

Inside the train its different scene to keep the bags on the Ruck space. Even the Bag gets adjusted like we do inside the train. As where there is a will there is a way, where there is also a minimum space, there is your bag. We have also started carrying 'Hooks' with us so that we can hang it to the ruck spaces, windows and even inner side of the doors.

This situation is never gonna change and now we are used to it. We have started wearing them even in the empty trains, and unknowingly if we walk as the same on the roads, no one is going to look at us amused or laugh at us, because everyone knows your situation you come across while you travel in train.

Women might be carrying for 10 months, but we carry them each day. And even we know the struggle. Life is tough, but we love it.
